ABOUT US

OUR PURPOSE

Unity Baptist Church exists to be one with our Lord Jesus Christ and each other; to meet the spiritual needs of others; to train believers; to tell non-believers about Jesus; and to gather together in the love of the Lord.

CHURCH PROGRAMS AND ORGANIZATIONS

Deacons
Our Deacon Body is actively involved in ministering to the needs of the congregation and community, both spiritual and physical. The Deacon Body consists of men who display their commitment and dedication to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through serving as help mates to the Pastoral Staff in assisting with the pastoral duties of ministry to our church family. In this way, the Deacon Body has been serving as a silent driving force behind the active communal work of Unity.

Sunday School
An active Sunday School program is offered for all ages every Sunday at 9:00AM. Here we are able to teach the biblical revelations, reach persons for Christ and church membership, provide and interpret information regarding the work of the church and denomination, and perform the functions of the church within each class.

Children’s Ministries
It is the vision of the Children’s Ministry to “train up a child in the ways he should go and when he grows old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). Word of Life Clubs are open to any child 4 years old to 6th grade. Designed like the youth WOL Clubs, you are sure to see God work a life changing experience in your child. After all, they are the church of today!!!

Student Ministries
Unity Baptist Church Student Ministry exists to meet needs of students both saved and unsaved thru worship of God the Father and fellowship with fellow believers. Activities are available regularly such as: annual missions trips, Bible camp trips, concerts and special events. Our Student Service is every Sunday Night and is designed to build into our teens lives: Bible study, Scripture memory, Christian service and accountability. We challenge all teens of The Tri-Cities to follow the cry of I Timothy 4:12 to “To Lead By Example That Others May Follow!”

Church Training
The church training program seeks to teach systematic theology, Christian history, Christian ethics, and church policy and organization. In doing this, church members are shown the importance of worship, witness, and daily ministry. Leaders are sought after and given specialty training for special projects of the church. At the heart of church training is God’s teaching in 2 Timothy 2:1-2 “…commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” Courses are offered during semesters of winter, spring, summer, and fall consisting of 6-8 week series.
